Citizen CPR Classes: Held the third Thursday of every month (except September and December). Class offerings through the American Heart Association and American Red Cross include: CPR for the Professional/Health Care Provider, Basic CPR, AED, Infant, E-Learning Practical Skills Sign-Off, Blood borne Pathogens and Basic First Aid All Classes "can" be tailor-made to the students needs and the prices vary somewhat. Smith Valley Fire Protection District 2011 Citizen CPR Program
The Smith Valley Fire Protection District (SVFPD) will continue with its Citizen CPR Program throughout 2011. Classes typically run about four hours from 6 PM to 10 PM on the third Thursday of each month (except in September and December) at SVFPD Station 40, 1 Hardie Lane in Smith, Nevada. Classes can be customized as to date, time and location and are offered to anyone over thirteen years of age. Class size is limited and reservations (minimum one week in advance) are requested by calling 775-465-2577. Fees per student vary and attendance does not always guarantee the two-year certification by either the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA). All classes are taught by AHA- or ARC-certified instructors.
